7. Computational Techniques in Food Engineering
Organizers: Michele Chiumenti (CIMNE) and Stefano Odorizzi (TCN Consortium).
The curse on Computational Techniques in Food Engineering covers a wide scope of research on the use of mathematical and computing techniques in food processing. Its main objective is to present the state-of-the-art in computational methods for the optimisation and control of food technologies from a scientific base. The course deals with simulation and modelling of unit operations and process plants, food process optimisation, decision support systems, and food quality control.
