A coherent training program spanning 2005, 2006 and 2007 is offered that tackles both the enabling technologies and a number of important applications in the field of scientific computing. This will be achieved through a well balanced program of events, including 9 formal training courses, as well as 14 application oriented hands-on lecture series and workshops. To better integrate the young researchers in the professional world of the scientific community, 4 of these events are organised as guest events in high-level scientific conferences. To preserve and structure the know how, strong use will be made of e-learning tools and of virtual events, to make the outcomes of the project available for the development of competences of a larger community during the project and far beyond.

The contents of the courses tackles both enabling technologies (numerical grid generation, finite elements, finite difference and finite volume methods, higher order methods) and a number of important applications (flow processes, design of new materials, subsurface flow, aero-acustics, agro-food technology, large scale industrial applications).

495 fellowships are offered to young participants to attend the events. To make it easier for you to determine if you can participate with Community funding in an event organised in the context of EUA4X you may wish to refer to this flow chart . Please note that this chart is indicative only and one is always advised to check the eligibility criteria .
