Event 31: NGG Dictionary Open Forum International Conference on Numerical Grid Generation in CFS
A collaborative open web environment has been designed to activate a community which will be working to arrange and provide well defined concepts and terminology in numerical grid generation, related to structured and unstructured grids or mixed approaches, to grid quality investigation and adaption, starting from basic concepts to more advanced definitions by collaborative network exchanges. Numerical grid generation can be defined as the art of locating a discrete set of points in a field. As better the points are placed, as more accurately phenomenon information can be kept, in order that specific of behavior characteristic physical quantities can be more deeply investigated by numerical simulation. Domain discretization is a basic step in computational simulation that is in processes of scientific computing designed to handle advanced simulations in several application fields. This crucial step requires grid generation technology to be continuously improved.
